Ablaze / GE (EMF)

Working with Bristol City Council and Ablaze Creative Edge has developed an exciting and engaging transitional educational resource titled Explore My Future. The My Future My Choice programme introduces children and young people to the vast range of exciting opportunities available for their future, encouraging them to open their minds to a variety of possibilities and have the self-belief that they can achieve and be successful in whatever they chose to do. The main element of the programme is a work book that requires children to explore Bristol, finding landmarks, monuments and famous buildings. Children find out about where people work and meet people who are doing different types of jobs in different types of buildings. There is lots of space in the book to add photographs, pictures and thoughts about where they have been and what they saw. Response from schools using the programme has been very positive, with children gaining a lot from the interactive nature of the work book.
