Facts about actnow:

Including over £7 million from Objective One, it is one of the largest private and public sector partnerships in Cornwall since the county was granted Objective One status by the European Union in 2000.

actnow has achieved recognition with Best eEurope Practices (BEEP) as a ‘good practice’ case study of information and communications technology playing a key role in regional development

The partnership was awarded Regional Partnership Category Champion as part of the Broadband Britain Challenge 2003.

actnow has attracted such interest from other regions in the UK that in February 2004, it hosted ‘The Broadband Edge Conference’ at the Eden Project to share knowledge and best practice to broadband partnerships across the country. The event attracted leaders of public and private sector organisations throughout the UK and included high profile speakers such as Stephen Timms, Minister of State for Energy, E-Commerce and Postal Services.
